DAY 1: UK - Channel crossing - Amsterdam area.
Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent, where you will be met by your tour director and transferred to the Amsterdam area for one night.
DAY 2: Amsterdam area - Rhineland.
This morning, enjoy the colourful city of Amsterdam. After your included visit to a diamond factory, enjoy a sightseeing drive with a local guide to view the city's highlights before boarding a canal cruise, the best way to see Amsterdam. This afternoon, head to the Rhineland area for one night. (B, D)
DAY 3: Rhineland - Innsbruck.
Start today with a scenic drive along the shores of the Rhine or opt for an optional Rhine cruise to see charming villages, hilltop castles and terraced vineyards. In the afternoon continue to Innsbruck, capital of the Tyrol, for one night. (B, D)
DAY 4: Innsbruck - Venice area.
Depart early for Venice, a unique city on the water ribboned with canals. This afternoon, enjoy an included canal boat-ride, followed by a city orientation trip and a visit to a typical Venetian glass blowing factory. Later, why not join the optional gondola experience to glide along the picturesque canals accompanied by a Troubadour serenade. Overnight in the Venice area. (B, D)
DAY 5: Venice area - Assisi - Rome.
Drive across the Po Delta and cross the Apennines en route to Assisi, the birthplace of the mystical St Francis, where you can marvel at the magnificent Basilica before continuing to Rome for two nights. (B)
DAY 6: Rome.
Rome, the 'Eternal City', is a city steeped in history, vibrantly alive and absolutely unique. Today's included sightseeing trip with a local guide starts in St Peter's Square, followed by a visit to the Roman Forum and the mighty Colosseum. (B)
DAY 7: Rome - Florence - Montecatini.
Enjoy an afternoon in the beautiful city of Florence, where every quaint, cobbled street seems to house a rare church, a sombre Renaissance palace, or a powerful sculpture. Take an included city sightseeing walk with a local guide and visit one of Florence's leather shops before heading to Montecatini for one night. (B, D)
DAY 8: Montecatini - Pisa - Lugano - Lake Lucerne.
Journey to Pisa and stop to admire the legendary Leaning Tower and the Square of Miracles before travelling across the Lombardy Plain to the picturesque Swiss resort of Lugano. After lunch, continue amidst the glorious alpine scenery to the shores of lovely Lake Lucerne for one night. (B, D)
DAY 9: Lake Lucerne - Interlaken - Lausanne.
Nestled amid snow-capped Alps and dominated by its clear blue lake, Lucerne is one of Switzerland's finest cities. See the city's highlights, such as the covered wooden bridge and Lion Monument, on an included visit. Later, continue to Interlaken for an optional excursion to the summit of the Stanserhorn before heading by way of enchanting Lake Thun and Gruyère to Lausanne for one night. (B)
DAY 10: Lausanne - Beaune - Paris.
Cross the border into France and marvel at the beauty of the Burgundy region as you pass vineyards and meadows en route to Beaune. Stop awhile in this medieval town, renowned for its wine production, before heading to Paris for three nights. Tonight why not attend the optional cabaret show? (B)
DAY 11-12: Paris.
Take two days to fully appreciate the magnificence of Paris - a city known throughout the world for its fashion, art and museums, delicious food and general 'joie de vivre'. The included sightseeing trip with a local guide takes in many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysées to name just a few. In the evenings, why not join an optional cruise on the Seine or a French farewell dinner? (B)
DAY 13: Paris - Channel crossing - UK.
Say farewell to Paris and head to the Channel port where your tour ends. After a short Channel crossing, join your coach service to London. (B)
