Day 1:

Welcome to Munich, capital of Bavaria. After check-in, we enjoy an orientation tour featuring the Olympic Stadium and Marienplatz, with its Glockenspiel clock. This evening, we enjoy a Welcome Drink with our Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Hotel: Westin Grand

Day 2:

After breakfast we make our way to Nuremberg, carefully rebuilt after wartime destruction, and enjoy a walking tour of this treasure trove of early German history. Then we enter the Czech Republic, pass by Pilsen, renowned for its breweries, and reach one of Europe’s most exciting cities, Prague. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 3:

Our sightseeing tour shows us how much Prague has blossomed since the Velvet Revolution. We visit impressive St. Vitus Cathedral, which is set inside the 1,000 year old Prague Castle, then cross the Vltava River to explore the cobblestoned old town square and see the Astronomical Clock. Then time at leisure to explore this fascinating city further. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 4:

Today’s drive takes us through Moravia in the Czech Republic and into Slovakia to visit its capital, Bratislava, with its medieval town hall in the quaint old town area. Then we enter Hungary and make our way to Budapest, which straddles the wide River Danube, and our hotel. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 5:

Our morning sightseeing tour includes views of the Great Synagogue and a walking tour of Old Buda including the Fishermen’s Bastion with views over the Parliament and Danube. Then free time perhaps to shop or explore. This evening, we will enjoy a traditional Hungarian Highlight Dinner with music. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 6:

We drive through Transdanubia to Györ with time for a stroll in this charming medieval city. Later, we drive into Austria reaching Vienna, the great musical capital. (Buffet breakfast) 

Hotel: Hilton Danube (2 nights)

Day 7:

Our sightseeing tour of this imperial city highlights the Hofburg, Imperial Boulevards and the State Opera. We also feature a walking tour which takes in the oldest part of the city and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Then our Tour Director shows us a Hidden Treasure, and maybe later take in a Strauss concert? (Buffet breakfast)

Day 8:

First we stop at Krems to embark on a scenic Danube cruise. Next we see the impressive monastery at Melk, overlooking the Danube Valley, before passing Linz and continuing to Salzburg for the night. Here our walking tour highlights Mozart’s birthplace and more. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) 

Hotel: Austria Trend Europa

Day 9:

We return to the lively Bavarian capital, Munich, and enjoy a delicious Farewell Dinner with wine tonight with our Tour Director and new found-friends. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell Dinner) 


Hotel: Westin Grand

Day 10:

This morning after breakfast it is time to bid farewell to our Tour Director and travelling companions as our memorable European holiday comes to an end. There is a transfer to Munich Airport available at 09.30, conditions apply. (Buffet breakfast)

Free airport transfers:

Transfers on Day 1 at Munich Airport will operate at 10.00 and 13.00. Passengers arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers on the last touring day will arrive at Munich Airport at 09.30.
