- Day 1 - London – Runnymede – Stonehenge – Salisbury – Plymouth We drive to Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed and then catch a glimpse of Windsor Castle. We continue on to Stonehenge before we have views of Salisbury Cathedral with the tallest spire in the UK. Finally we arrive in the naval port of Plymouth where we will enjoy a Welcome Drink and dinner with our Tour Director and fellow travellers. (Dinner)

- Day 2 - Plymouth – Tintagel – Clovelly - Bideford Our first stop today is in Tintagel where we see the ruined castle. Then we follow the coast to Clovelly with its steep cobbled streets and picturesque cottages before arriving in the ancient seaport of Bideford. (Full breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Durrant House
- Day 3 - Bideford – Bath – Stratford-Upon-Avon We drive to Glastonbury where we visit the abbey ruins before continuing to Georgian Bath where we visit the Roman Baths. Then a scenic drive through the Cotswolds countryside brings us to Stratford-upon-Avon where we visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and see Anne Hathaway’s cottage. (Full breakfast)
Hotel: Falcon Hotel
- Day 4 - Stratford – Wedgwood – Liverpool This morning we head north to Chester where our Tour Director shows us the ancient city walls, the black and white Tudor Rows and a Hidden Treasure before continuing to our hotel in Liverpool. (Full breakfast)
Hotel: Jurys Inn
- Day 5 - Liverpool – Lake District – York We drive to the English Lake District. Then across the Yorkshire Dales to York and a walking tour to visit the Shambles, see the Mansion House, Stonegate and Petergate, and, of course, the magnificent York Minster. Later we enjoy a Farewell Dinner together with our Tour Director and fellow travellers. (Full breakfast / Farewell dinner)
Hotel: Holiday Inn
- Day 6 - York – Sherwood Forest – London This morning we pass by the area of Sherwood Forest, associated with the legendary hero, Robin Hood. Then on to the university city of Cambridge where we will see the magnificent architecture of King’s College Chapel. We are back in London by the early evening as our tour comes to an end. (Full breakfast)

Airport Transfers
- London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the airport and your London hotel. Trafalgar has negotiated special rates for the Dot2Dot transfer from London’s Heathrow* to the door of your Trafalgar London hotel:
- Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
- Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight information to Trafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Once transfers are booked they cannot be changed
- For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked by Trafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to your departure date.
- Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer.
- In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar’s control, the transfers will be deemed to be cancelled.
- All transfers are based on group transfers. No refund is therefore available for missed transfers, or passengers not using this service.
- In the event of unforeseen events (such as road or rail works, strikes or demonstrations), Trafalgar will not be responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.

A boat trip round the harbour of one of England’s most famous seaports. View the Mayflower steps, where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America, and ships sailed for Australia, New Zealand and Newfoundland. See panoramic vistas of Plymouth Hoe, site of Drake’s legendary game of bowls. Into the Royal Navy Dockyard and a chance to see some of the modern vessels of the Royal Navy. A commentary is given by the skipper.
