Day 1
Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2
We head through Germany to reach our hotel in the Reutte area, just over the border in Austria, for a
three-night stay.

Fairy Tale Castles
Hohenschwangau Castle
A day to discover fairy tale castles on our included excursion. Firstly we visit the village of Hohenschwangau and King Ludwig’s famous castle Neuschwanstein (entrance at extra cost). Built in the 19th century, this
fairy tale castle is dramatically perched on a hilltop with panoramic views over the countryside and the Royal castle of Hohenschwangau. (Please note: at Neuschwanstein there is a degree of walking involved as well as a considerable number of steps to climb) In the afternoon, we visit the delightful walled town of Fussen, where you can spend time exploring the maze of narrow lanes or simply relax in a terrace café in the main square.

Day 4
Innsbruck
Golden Roof, Innsbruck
Today’s included excursion takes us east to Innsbruck, ‘capital’ of the Tyrol. Set with a backdrop of soaring Alpine mountains and fine regal buildings, it is a major winter sports city, having hosted the winter Olympics. We see the internationally-renowned ski jump, Berg Isel, where you can marvel at the bravery and courage of the jumpers – it’s even more frightening than it appears on T.V.! The Golden Roof is testimony to the time in the 15th century when Innsbruck was at the centre of European culture and politics and Emperor Maximilian I based his Imperial Court here. Today you can enjoy its relaxing squares and vibrant shopping streets.

Day 5
Oberammergau
Oberammergau Passion Play
We leave
Austria and travel to the Oberammergau area to check into our overnight accommodation. Lunch will be at noon, ahead of the Passion Play which begins at 2.30pm*. After a break for dinner between 5pm and 8pm, the play continues until 10.30pm, when we will transfer back to our accommodation.

Day 6
We leave after breakfast and head north through Germany arriving at our overnight hotel in Belgium this evening.
