There’s also a spot to watch an info video during your free time to learn even more about these incredible animals.

ITINERARY

Welcome to Malaysian Borneo! Starting in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah state, make your way to the hotel for our kickstart meeting at 4pm. After meeting the crew why not check out the bustling night markets for a delicious dinner.

Pristine beaches? Check. Crystal clear water? Yep. Free time to explore 'em all? You bet. Coastal relaxation or countryside expeditions (on a bicycle) - it's a DIY day!

This morning, we'll leave the buzz of Kota Kinabalu behind and hit the road for the lush landscapes of Kiulu. Watch the scenery shift from city streets to rolling green hills as we head deeper into Sabah’s countryside (AKA, your first taste of Borneo’s wild side).Hello Kiulu. Jump straight into local life with a cooking class and learn how to make four traditional dishes. Next, get stuck into jungle survival skills (think fire-making and bamboo crafting). After lunch, we'll settle into Kampung Lingga Homestay with a warm welcome, then learn Dalai bead-making and the secrets of Tapai rice wine from village elders. Tonight, share a cultural dinner, enjoy a lively dance performance, and wind down to the sounds of the jungle.

Kickstart today with a sunrise walk in the village. Then it’s time to get hands-on again with a rubber tapping session alongside a local farmer. After breakfast, we'll wrap things up with a powerful Silat performance and a heartfelt farewell from our hosts.Ditch the villages for mountains as we make our way to Kundasang, near Kinabalu Park. The afternoon is all yours to wander through the Botanical Gardens, take in the highland views, or just relax and soak up a slower pace in this scenic spot.

Jungle trek to start off the day? Yep. This morning, we'll trek to Langanan Waterfall, winding through dense rainforest, past giant trees and bamboo groves. After around two hours, you’ll reach the real showstopper: a towering waterfall crashing down from over 120 metres. Take it all in before trekking back to our base. This afternoon, we'll make our way to Sepilok, where the pace slows right down. The rest of the day is yours to explore or relax. If you’re up for it, consider heading out on a night walk at the Rainforest Discovery Centre, where the jungle comes alive after dark with nocturnal wildlife and hidden creatures. Or take it easy and settle into your surroundings.

Sepilok, you were stunning. But it's time for a mini island adventure. Kicking off the day, you’ll visit the lantern-lined Puu Jih Shih Buddhist temple. (Hope you're ready to witness some of the best hilltop views of your life!). Then it's off to Selingan Island where we'll grab lunch once we arrive. It’s time for some well-deserved R&R - on this beautiful island that's a safe haven for green and hawksbill turtles. So, drop your bags off at our resort, and get ready for a very special experience tonight. After dinner, you’ll have the chance to see a turtle laying eggs, and maybe even see baby turtles heading into the sea for the very first time. Awww!

Goodbye Selingan, you’ve been lovely. But we’ve got so much more to explore! Guess what? This morning, we’re heading out to meet the cutest-ever (also the world’s smallest!) sun bears at a conservation centre. Then we’ll visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to see orangutans at a beautiful rainforest reserve. What’s next? We’ll make our way to catch a boat to our next stop - where you’ll get to see even more wildlife. (Don’t say we don’t spoil you…).  Drop your bags. Sip some tea. Grab your binocs. Then, come along for a soothing boat ride along the Kinabatangan River. This is your chance to spot some of the rarest wildlife - even the smallest elephants in the world!

Wake up with coffee and join us for an early morning river safari for wildlife watching (think rare monkeys, hornbills, gibbons and  pygmy elephants - bathing in the morning sun!). And tonight? We’re hitting the jungle after dark in search of nocturnal creatures. Keep. Those. Eyes. Peeled.

Don’t wanna say it but...our journey through Borneo's luscious forests has come to an end. Grab your final breakfast of the trip and hop on a transfer back to the airport. We'll arrive at Sandakan Airport for farewells. Don’t worry, there are plenty more destinations waiting to be explored, and plenty more memories to be made with your crew.
