Oh, the joy of Pisa – everyone has to witness the great Leaning Tower of Pisa at least once in their life! It is probably the most famous bell tower in the world and it’s not hard to see why. The tower’s famous tilt began during construction, thought to be because of an inadequate foundation on too soft ground. The tilt gradually increased until the tower was stabilized in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The majestic cathedral is also as beautiful as much as the Tower is unusual!
